By downloading, accessing, or using Fixedseat — including our mobile applications for iOS and Android and our website at fixedseat.com (collectively, the "Services") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Fixedseat. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Fixedseat. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
To use most features of the Services, you must create an account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You may submit photos, reviews, ratings, diary entries, lists, and other content ("User Content") through the Services. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Fixedseat a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and improving the Services. This license specifically includes the right to display a photo you upload as the hero (banner) image on the corresponding restaurant's page, and to retain that photo on the restaurant page even after you delete the underlying post, in order to preserve the visual continuity of the restaurant page for the community. Your ratings and reviews may also be aggregated into public community metrics displayed on each restaurant page.
You agree not to submit User Content that:
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without notice and at our sole discretion.
You can report objectionable content or abusive users, and block other users, using the in-app tools available on posts, lists, comments, and profiles. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours where practical. Blocking a user hides their content from you and prevents them from interacting with your content.
Fixedseat is a public restaurant social network. Content you post — including reviews, ratings, journal entries, uploaded photos, comments, likes, want-to-go places, favorites, tags, follows, and lists (other than lists you mark as private) — is visible by default to all registered users of Fixedseat and may also be visible to guests browsing the Services without an account. Private posts, private accounts, and more granular privacy controls may be introduced in the future but are not currently available. Do not post content you would not be comfortable making public.
Fixedseat is a platform for logging genuine visits to real places. Photos and captions do not need to feature food, and a log may capture any moment or memory from a visit — but the post must correspond to an actual visit by you to the place it is logged against. You agree not to:
We monitor for patterns of use inconsistent with the purpose of the Services. Content or accounts that violate this section may be actioned in the following ways, in any order and with or without prior notice: a warning, shadow-hiding (content stays visible to you but is hidden from other users' feeds, search, and restaurant pages), temporary suspension, or permanent removal of the account and its content. We may skip steps for severe or repeated violations. If you believe your account was actioned in error, contact hello@fixedseat.com.

Restaurant information displayed in the Services is sourced from the Google Places API, our own editorial enrichment, and other third-party sources. Fixedseat does not independently verify the accuracy of restaurant information — including hours, prices, chef, Instagram handle, or opening year. This information may be outdated or inaccurate. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on restaurant information displayed in the Services. If you notice an inaccuracy, please contact us at hello@fixedseat.com.
The Services, including their design, graphics, logos, and code, are owned by Fixedseat and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Services, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Services integrate with third-party services including Google Places API, Supabase, Expo, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Vercel. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FIXEDSEAT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fixedseat and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings screen. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Fixedseat is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. Any such features will be subject to additional terms presented at the time of purchase. We will provide notice before any free features become paid.
Fixedseat may send push notifications about product features, community events, launch parties, and food crawls. You can control which categories you receive in Settings → Notifications.
